Ochre Limestone Steps Palletised in the Yard

These reclaimed limestone steps are the warmest stone in the collection, running from rust and ochre through to a soft tan, with iron staining held deep in the surface rather than sitting on top of it. They are stacked on a timber pallet in the yard, front edges worked with a slim moulded drip and their ends broken back where they were lifted out. Rubble offcuts and a carved rosette panel lie behind. Available to buy, they suit warm toned courtyards, Tuscan and Provencal exteriors, and gardens where cool grey stone would look wrong.
